This is where my lavender experience began, on a French lavender farm, desperately trying for hours to learn the intricate art of lavender wand making. Lavender wands are an old Victorian art where ladies would weave the long stems of lavender together into a wand and use them to bring fragrance into their ‘smelly’ world. These beautiful wands are now used to hang in your closet to scent your clothing or simply as a beautiful craft that can beautify your space.
This class is suitable for people over the age of 12-14. You’ll leave with a beautiful wand you can show off to your friends or hang in your closet to scent your clothes. All supplies provided, but if you have a special ribbon you want to weave into the wand, feel free to bring it (must be 2.5 yards). This is an outdoor event (weather permitting). Please dress according to the weather.
The outdoor fields may have dirt and dried lavender petals, so dressing comfortably helps you focus on crafting.
Capture your crafting moments and the lovely farm views for lasting memories.
Starting on time ensures you have the full hour to enjoy the weaving process without rushing.
Although the workshop is short, bring water to stay comfortable during your outdoor crafting time.
