Details:

Step beyond the basics and get hands-on with how we dry, screen, and distill lavender at Lavender Hill Farm. This all-day experience begins with a guided tour and lavender fundamentals, followed by an in-depth workshop on drying techniques and flower screening. You'll actively participate in preparing lavender for products and even participate in the lavender distillation process!

Enjoy a selection of deli sandwiches from a local artisan for lunch, and a lavender-inspired snack break featuring lavender lemonade fizz and lavender shortbread cookies.

After a relaxing lunch, we'll continue with a live steam distillation demo where you’ll see how essential oil and hydrosol are made right on the farm. End the day with a take-home lavender sachet filled by you, and new skills that connect you to the complete lifecycle of lavender.

This class is not recommended for children. It is designed for adults eager to learn and work with their hands harvesting lavender! While our Barn, Farmhouse, and restrooms are ADA compliant, our farm is not. Please let us know if someone in your group requires additional assistance!
