The Honorable William Wall is the floating clubhouse of the Manhattan Yacht Club. MYC was founded in 1987 and re-introduced recreational sailing to New York Harbor. In 2012, MYC opened the doors of its innovative clubhouse to the public in an effort to share our love of sailing with you.
Our clubhouse is the perfect platform to watch our sailing races, which take place every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons. The sailing season and our clubhouse is open from May through October.
Affectionately known as the “Willy Wall,” our clubhouse is an elegant steel barge with an open-air upper deck, and a fully enclosed lower level lounge. The Willy Wall is anchored in New York Harbor just north of Ellis Island. The location boasts spectacular views of the New York City skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the surrounding waters. It has been featured in The New York Times, Time Out NY, the Village Voice and was voted Lower Manhattan's #1 Secret Treasure.
The open-air upper deck fills up quickly during race days, so plan to get there early for prime viewing spots.
Even summer evenings on the water can be cool and breezy, so bring a light jacket to stay comfortable.
Parking near the harbor can be limited; local subway and ferry options provide convenient access to the dock.
