About

The Lands and Legacies tour is a motorized tour to the north end of Cumberland Island starting at the Sea Camp Ranger Station. Visitors will see both cultural and natural landmarks including the remains of Robert Stafford’s plantation and cemetery, Plum Orchard Mansion, Cumberland Wharf, The Settlement and First African Baptist Church. This tour is a rugged 5 to 6 hour trip that is open only to those visitors who take the 9:00 AM ferry to the Island or who are campers already staying on the Island.

What to Bring

  • There is nothing for purchase on the island, come prepared.
  • You will need to bring water, food, sunscreen, bug spray, walking shoes, rain gear, a hat and sunglasses.

*You must also book the 9am and 4:45pm ferries in order to participate in this tour unless you will be arriving by private boat.
