About This Adventure

Explore the scenic Koloa Heritage Trail, featuring 14 unique stops, and dive into vibrant underwater ecosystems teeming with rare fish. With top-notch snorkeling gear and breathtaking views, this experience promises unforgettable family fun and exploration.

Self-Guided Bike & Snorkel Excursion

This self-guided bike tour provides the opportunity to ride along the South Shore of Kauai with beautiful panoramic views! Bikes/ EBikes are hands down the very best way for a family to explore the Poipu/Koloa/Kukui'ula area. We are located at the new Koloa Village. There are lots of vacationers looking for different options as renting a car is expensive, gas prices are high, and parking is limited. A Bike/EBike will allow you to easily cover lots of ground, like Koloa Heritage Trail. The Heritage Trail is a 10 mile walk or bike ride which includes 14 stops and monuments around the area (i.e.. Spouting horn/Botanical Gardens etc.).

Snorkeling Spots

There are plenty of fish to see along the South Shore, and many of them are very unique. Some fish unique enough to not be found anywhere else in the world. Just relax and enjoy your time looking for Parrot fish, the long-nosed Bird Wrasse, schools of Orange Band Surgeon fish and Convict Tangs the Rock Mover Wrasse, Damsels, and Butterflyfish as bright as the sun. Special yet you may encounter a turtle or two.

Best beaches to snorkel on the South Shore:

-Poipu Beach Park-this well known beach park that is divided into two halves.

*The left side offers a calm, protected baby beach (complete with lifeguard)

  • The right side, in front of Marriott’s Waiohai Beach Club, offers the ideal area for snorkeling, stand up paddling and swimming.

-Right of the Beach House Restaurant in Poipu. The abundance and diversity of fish here is unsurpassed.

Snorkeling equipment:

You will be receiving a Panoramic 3 Window Snorkel Mask by EXP Vision. The 3 window design for a panoramic view is a Shatter Resistant PC lens, Anti-fog and hypoallergenic silicone skirt. The mask's skirt is designed to be soft and flexibility. The mask has ribbed silicon face seal that molds to fit numerous of face types, which is very suitable for deep free diving, snorkeling and swimming.

The snorkel is a dry top snorkel that is designed to keep water from entering the breathing tube. A purge valve allows water to be quickly expelled, so you can enjoy easy and unobstructed breathing while diving underwater. An ergonomic silicone mouthpiece is installed for your comfort, and is very durable.

Due to our commitment to fight the spread of Covid and any other yucky things in the world, all gear will be properly sanitized before any customer receives equipment. You also have the option to buy your own silicone mouth piece for just $5.

You will be issued Cressi Bonete fins. Cressi has been an Italian brand pioneer in scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming equipment since 1946. They are short open heel fins with adjustable straps. These fins to provide the right dimensions and weight for a pleasurable time. Since all feet are different we carry all sizes to ensure the foot pocket makes donning comfortable and helps reduce leg cramping.
