Adventure yourself on an off-road journey through the Alentejo's "montado" (cork oak forest)! We offer you an option of driving tour, that will give you a wonderful overview of the forest as you plough through the dirt tracks of the farm. For those who have a passion for vintage cars, or simply a sense of history and adventure, you can opt for a tour in one of two 50-year-old Land Rovers, one an open top and the other a hard top. Your expert guides will stop at regular intervals to show you the highlights and explain in detail what makes the cork forest such an important and diverse ecosystem. Our guides, are guaranteed to enlighten (and entertain!) you at how little you knew about cork and its amazing properties!
After the tour, enjoy a tasting of Maroteira wines, accompanied by Iberian pork ham and tipical, regional sheep cheese.
At the end of the morning/afternoon, filled with activities, you will have lunch in a typical Alentejo restaurant, with a traditional menu of the region, accompanied by Alentejo wines.
