Approximately 8 Hours
Kilometer 1 can be considered a little warm-up as it is an easy and quick one. The access road we will follow is through a beautiful collection of mossy red cedar, Sitka spruce, and douglas fir. Kilometer 2 and 3 are where we will get the heart rate going with an incline up a hill through a bog and many ferns. Once at the top the trail levels out for the next kilometer. The tour continues under the forest canopy alongside an impressive display of waist-high ferns, salal, and other native flora. Once the group emerges from the forest to the breathtaking coastline it will be time for a break. The second part of this day will follow the rugged coastline. Once we hit the 5 km mark we will turn around and backtrack to a fork in the trail. This will loop us around back to the trailhead making for an 8-kilometer hike in total.
