Wineries on the Tour

Larch Hills Winery is a land-based, family run vineyard and winery, owned by Jack and Hazel Manser. All of their product is proudly made from 100% British Columbia grapes, either from their main vineyard just south of Salmon Arm (also the location of the winery and their home), or from contracted vineyards farther south in the Okanagan Valley. All their wines are made and bottled on their premises at Salmon Arm. Jack and Hazel specialize in cool climate grape growing and have varieties that are generally not available in other parts of BC.

Recline Ridge Winery owner’s Graydon and Maureen Ratzlaff acquired the property and business in mid-2010, as part of a “lifestyle improvement project.” Their hard work and appreciation to detail has grown Recline Ridge into an award-winning winery that offers a range of cool-climate, fruit-forward white wines, including Ortega, Siegerrebe, Kerner, and Shuswap Serenade. Red wines include locally-grown Marechal Foch, Just Being Frank, and Hawk’s Haven. Our wine shop offers a unique style, and the comfortable patio is a wonderful place to relax, and even enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the local views. Come meet owner’s Graydon and Maureen Ratzlaff.

Sunnybrae Vineyards and Winery “Sunnybrae” is aptly named and boasts its own unique micro-climate…perfect for growing grapes. The meticulously groomed vineyard is nestled below Bastion Mountain at the back and the magnificent Shuswap lake shoreline. The south-sloping volcanic ash land basks in sunshine during daylight hours and enjoys cooling breezes in the evenings. The craftsman style winery building built in 2010 showcases vintage artifacts and photos of Barry’s family, farmers in the Sunnybrae area for five generations. Visitors are invited to the second-floor wine tasting room to enjoy delicious white, red and rose wines made on our premises using 100% B.C. grown grapes. Beautiful glass doors open to our upper deck and a stunning view of the lake and Mount Ida.
