About

The Mill Creek Area of Walla Walla, on the East side of town, runs right up to the foothills of the Blue Mountains. Our route will take you through town, along Mill Creek, and into the low foothills area. This cooler region for growing grapes produces some unique wines that are not to be missed.

This is one of our longer routes at about 20 miles, and it is arguably the most scenic. You will see stunning views of the picturesque Blue Mountains and visit some of the highest elevation vineyards in the region. The wine and tasting rooms in this area include some of the oldest wine makers in the region, and some of the newest as well.

What to bring/wear/consider:

  • Please dress for the weather and consider that you will be riding a bike. Dresses or skirts can make riding tricky and are therefore, discouraged.
  • Please eat a substantial breakfast. Tasting on an empty stomach is never a good idea.
  • Don’t forget sunscreen.
  • Sneakers are recommended; flat soled, closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Water! It can be very hot out on the road. We will provide water and water bottles. Hydration is critical!

What to leave at home:

  • Your guide will be able to carry your personal belongings but there is limited space on a bike.
  • Please just bring what you need. Leave large purses at home.
  • We also love our pets but unfortunately we cannot accommodate them on our tours and they are not allowed at many of our stops.
