Discover the splendid wonders on the North side of São Miguel, we'll drive between different villages to reach some of the most splendid views and waterfalls our island has to offer. Indulge your tasting buds with local organic products ranging from granny-recipe meals, tea, fruits and/or liquors.
Start this tour driving up the "Serra de Água d'Alto" where the Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lagoon) is nestled. Excellent photo opportunities of both south and north sides of the island arise at the top of the most recent volcanic formation of São Miguel. Feel the involving nature mixed with abundant bird sounds.
On our way down we'll get off the main road to discover some of the older roads used by our ancestors to travel through the north, where nature has retaken its space due to minimal human intervention. Admire beautiful landscapes of the northern cliffs, hills and pastures from privileged viewpoints.
Discover some of the picturesque waterfalls at the island where the water never ceases and nature is lush and full of vibrant colors, may them located be near the main tourism circuits or off the beaten track.
Learn about the traditional tea cultivation and processing at two different plantations: one with a large offer of souvenirs and products and the other one with a more ancestral vibe, where most of the traits of older days were kept. The only full cycle tea producers in Europe.
Indulge your tasting buds with our regional food, you'll have options of meat, fish and vegetarian in this buffet of traditionally made local food. (Starter, Main Course, Drink, Dessert and Coffee included).
Take a short walk near the coastline to observe the marvelous sea view and get a closer look of the cliffs that arise all along the northern coast.
If we still have the time, we'll visit a pineapple plantation or a local liquors factory before finishing off, the choice will be on the table after booking a tour with us.
