About To Noble Laureate Seamus Heaney - Ireland has "no wide prairies nor great forests of native pine". However ireland does have - ancient landscapes full myths and stories that have survived from prehistoric times. On this tour, you will hear stories of votive bog body sites and other ritual habitats from expert local guide Martin. The locations that you will explore are rich in folklore, where even the history of how these ancient sites have survived for over two thousand years, are fascinating tales on their own. Martin will bring you to Healing Wells, Fairy Trees and Standing Stones where you will hear stories that are woven into each of these ritual/sacred sites.

  • This experience requires a moderate amount of walking. The wearing of hiking boots and outdoor clothing is essential.
