The drive to Sidney is 30 minutes from the city, along the way I’ll give you some fun facts and the history of Victoria and Vancouver Island.
Once we arrive in Sidney, I’ll guide you through to a handful of my favorite shops which include Frocks, shoes, accessories, home décor, and a fantastic consignment shop. Then you will be free to explore on your own for an hour or so before meeting up at Farmers Daughter for a decadent wine flight perfectly paired with artisan cheeses.
From there we will head out to the country to indulge in one additional tasting of locally crafted Wine, Cider, or spirits tasting. We will plan this based on your group’s interest and availability. The small estate vineyards/ Orchards are producing award-winning bottles and offer fantastic views to enhance your island experience.
This tour will finish with one more round of shopping at the quaint Mattick Farms for country gifts, art, fashion, and more. Then sit back and relax with the scenic drive back to the city.
This tour provides a 1-hour lunch spot. Options are The charming Sea Glass Restaurant with a view of the marina or our best Farm to Table Restaurant 10 Acres with an Ocean view in Sidney or a light lunch at the quaint eatery of Adrienne’s Restaurant and tea garden. Lunch expenses are not included in the Tour price.
This is an excellent Tour if you have seen the City Highlights or simply have an interest in experiencing some quiet and charming locations over the hustle and bustle of the city. Participants in wine tasting must be 19 years old and have a photo id.
