Highlights

After meeting your professionally trained guide at the hotel, you will depart Rhodes Town and drive along the east coast of the island passing some of the island's most beautiful beaches. You will drive through several small villages before arriving at Lindos, one of the three ancient cities on the island of Rhodes. Lindos is among the island's most famous villages, and is renowned for its famous Acropolis. At a height of 535 feet, the Acropolis offers breathtaking views and photo opportunities of the entire village, including its Medieval castle, superb sandy beaches and charming white-washed, sugar-cubed houses.

During your visit, you will take a walking tour through the labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets, and past the colorful courtyards and mosaics for which Lindos is famous. Ancient Lindos was the most important town on the island, and has been nhabited for 5,000 years. The Acropolis is home to the ruins of a Byzantine fort and a Greek temple from centuries before. You can also glimpse the Bay of St Paul from the very top of the Acropolis. It is said he washed ashore here during a storm and brought Christianity to the island. After your guided tour of the Acropolis, you will walk down to the village of Lindos for a visit to the Byzantine Church of the Ascension, followed by some free time to explore the area at your leisure.

Following your visit, you will return to your transportation for the return drive to the pier along the same coastal road from Rhodes Town.
