About

Our Producer Our farm is a large, restored early 1800’s family-owned vineyard estate, located between the Silves, Monchique and Lagoa in the Algarve.

The estate was founded in 1810 by the count of Silves and is still in the possession of the family—and it’s a family story where a passion for the land, food and entertaining merges with a love of local heritage, beauty and conservation.

Working with the historic buildings and the old vineyards and olive trees that surrounds them, we have created a thoughtful place with love and attention on every detail.

The estate’s vineyards are some of the oldest in the Algarve and provide the indigenous grapes which make up our award-winning wines and around the estate there are cottages which can host guests who want to be part of our history.

We hope you will experience a real connection to the land, the seasons and to nature, and we invite you to rest, relax and enjoy this Algarve country idyll.

Join us for an end of day tasting as we pour a variety of our vineyards wines.

The focus of the Wine Experience Program is to share our passion for our 50-70 year-old vines (which are solely of indigenous grape varieties and treated organically), as well as our old olive oil press, our 2.000-year old olive tree, one of the oldest in Portugal, as well as to provide insight into how food & wine are such a significant part of Algarvian culture.

Enjoy an intimate 60 minute tour and tasting experience that explores the history of the estate, its unique terroir, and its exciting wines, while you savour a local artisan cheese and charcuterie selection
