Tourism in Europe related to olive oil production has been growing in recent years, particularly in Spain, Italy and Greece, the 3 main olive oil producers in the world.
Portugal, although not part of the podium in terms of quantity produced, is nevertheless the world’s 1st producer of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
We are therefore the largest producer of superior quality olive oil (acidity and peroxides< 0.8 and <20 respectively, and without any defects detected in sensory testing).
If you are an olive oil fan and want to learn more about the production techniques of some of the best virgin olive oils in the region, you can’t miss a visit to our mill.
We offer simple guided tour of the mill and olive grove, as well as complete tours with tasting for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the history of the region and the olive oil extraction process.
After booking we will send all the details of the reservation, as well as the location and the contact of the farmer.
If you wish to propose another day or time for the experience, send me us a message and we will do our best to reschedule, or we can include one more experience for all day.
