Back by popular demand: our Finger Lakes Wine Tour. Join Martz Travel on Thursday, Sept. 11, for a repeat performance of our spring wine tour. Grab your bestie or that group of wine-loving friends -- and the Finger Lakes region is absolutely beautiful in September. We’ve teamed up with some of the best of the best venues at the Fingers Lakes to bring you an extraordinary wine tour that includes tastings at three wineries – Montezuma, Knapp and Hazlitt wineries for three tastings. We’ll enjoy an included lunch at Knapp Winery. Meal options will be provided before the tour. Before heading home, we’ll stop at Seneca Harbor Station Restaurant for a four-course meal. You have five options so don’t forget to pick one when you make your reservation.

DROPOFFS

9 p.m. – Green Ridge Plaza 9:30 p.m. -- Wyoming Valley Mall

There is no charge to park your car at the Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-Barre Township, or the Green Ridge Plaza, Scranton. Pickup at the Wyoming Valley Mall is in the area of the Ken Pollock Service Center, site of the former Sears service center. Passengers boarding at Green Ridge Plaza should park at the end of the shopping center near Planet Fitness but as far from the door as possible.

11 a.m. – Wine tasting (flight of 6 wines) at Montezuma Winery 12:30 p.m. – Lunch at Knapp Winery 1:30 p.m. – Wine tasting (6 wines) at Knapp Winery with bread & cheese 3 p.m. – Wine tasting (6 wines) at Hazlitt Winery 4:30-6 p.m. – Four-course dinner at Seneca Harbor Station

All tour itineraries are subject to change. Martz reserves the right to revise the itinerary and make substitutions of equal value.

VENUE INFO

Montezuma Winery is operated by the Martin family and is the winner of numerous awards including Gold, Double Gold, Best of Class, Best Fruit Wine and Commercial Mead Champion. The wine lists ranges from dry to sweet; its most popular is Cranberry Bog. Knapp Winery has been producing wines for more than 40 years, from cabernet to Rieslings and offers a wine for every taste. Hazlitt Winery is an award-winning winery that produces popular wines including Red Cat, Cider Tree Cinnamon Spice and Solera Sherry.

MEALS

Lunch will be served at Field & Vine at Knapp Winery. Options will be announced before the tour. Dinner Options We’ll top off our fun day in the Finger Lakes with a four-course meal at Seneca Harbor Station where you may select from five entrees. All are served with garlic smashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables, a soft drink, coffee or tea, and fresh bread, salad, New England Clam Chowder and dessert. Options are:

  • Sirloin Steak (half pound) with herb & garlic butter, grilled to order (Please specify your steak temperature in the Comments section.)
  • Marinated Chicken Breast, boneless in zesty Italian seasonings topped with tomato fresca
  • Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms (2) grilled with a blend of veggies, topped with melted cheese and served over wilted spinach
  • Broiled Haddock filet with lemon and butter
  • Shrimp Pasta (no side dish), half pound of shrimp sauteed in cream sauce and served over linguini

BUS SEATING

While we try our best to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee you will be assigned the seat of your choice. Since we are committed to meeting the specific health and mobility needs of our passengers, the seating arrangements may change before our departure date.

CANCELLATION

All sales are final. Refunds will not be issued for this tour. Therefore, we recommend trip cancellation insurance. You may contact your insurance agent or go to www.travelinsurance.com where you may compare rates and purchase online. If it becomes necessary for Martz Bus to cancel a tour, the full price will be refunded. You have the option of receiving a refund in the form of a gift certificate that may be redeemed for a future Martz Tour.
