About This Adventure

Crater Hike & Tour

Experience this unique volcano with your native Hawaiian guide, Kimo. Ride in a 5-passenger ATV to 7000 ft. in elevation and hike to craters not available to the public. Give back and plant a native tree at the site cared for by Uluha'o. Enjoy a locally made lunch at the site in a rustic cabin built in the 1950s by Kimoʻs grandfather. Exclusive new experience open by appointment only with your host Kimo.

What to Bring

  • Please dress appropriately for the hike, rocks are loose and jagged closed toed shoes are required.
  • Weather is unpredictable and changes frequently from hot and sunny to foggy and chilly.
  • We recommend that you bring a light weight jacket, sunscreen and camera. Locally made snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
