Hilly Ridge Alpacas is a small farm and visitor experience based in Wattisham, England. The farm offers hands-on animal encounters focused on alpacas and pygmy goats. Visitors can book a 1.5-hour Alpaca Experience that includes a relaxing walk with alpacas, opportunities to interact with mothers and babies, and participation in the Hilly Ridge Obstacle Course with a chance to win a rosette. The farm also runs an Introduction to Alpacas Course (British Alpaca Society Affiliate course, Modules 1–4) taught by Jo, a British Alpaca Society Judge. That course combines classroom learning and practical handling across one- or two-day formats, and participants receive a certificate on completion.
For goat lovers, the Pygmy Goat Experience lets guests hand-feed playful pygmy goats, take them for a walk, enjoy a goat fact quiz, and cuddle baby goats when available. Each experience is delivered to small groups to ensure personalised attention and safe, supervised interaction with the animals. Hilly Ridge Alpacas operates a farm shop and café on site where visitors can browse locally made products and refreshments after their visit. The farm’s public activities emphasise animal welfare, responsible handling, and practical learning for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
