WHAT TO EXPECT

Discover the natural wonders of El Yunque Rainforest , this adventure that includes small waterfalls , swing from ropes ,cliff jumps , natural water slides and panoramic view .

Explore the only tropical rainforest system on this half-day trip. Walk the park’s nature trails, surrounded by tree orchids, giant ferns and wildflowers, as you venture to a camera-worthy collection of waterfalls and panoramic vistas in northeast Puerto Rico.

Start your day with pickup one hour before the tour starts from select hotels in San Juan. Then drive from San Juan to El Yunque, admiring the typical native towns and changing scenery as you ascend higher into the rainforest. This ecosystem is named after the ancient Indian spirit Yuquiyu, who was believed to have once reigned over all of Puerto Rico, protecting the island and its people.

Begin an walk on one of the trails, keeping an eye out for any of the area’s wildlife. Make your way along paths thick with tree orchids, giant ferns, wild flowers and tropical hardwood trees, and Waterfall .

Then make your way back to San Juan, arriving back at your hotel.

This tour operates based weather and river conditions. Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory. On Saturdays the hike is longer and more challenging since we depart from a different point. San Juan Tours reserves the right of admission – If a person appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not following instructions or causing disruptions the guide has the right to cancel their reservation at any moment, and no refunds will be issued due to this. Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.
