River Valley Adventure's 60 min Beginner Segway Adventure is the first of its kind! The adventure starts with in-depth training from one of our certified Segway trainers. They will go over the skills and drills for everything you will need to know before heading out on your adventure. The training session usually takes about 30 minutes however everyone learns at a different pace. After the training get ready for the experience of a lifetime! For the remainder of your time you will be taken on a ride through North America's largest urban parkland! You’ll have the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the river valley like you never have before.

Any 60 minute adventure may be upgraded to 90 minutes by adding an extra half hour of Segway riding for only $25, just tell your tour guide you are having fun. When you have completed your Beginner Segway Adventure you will be given a River Valley Adventure Co. Segway Operator's License which will allow you to skip the training session when you return for your Advanced Segway Tour. If you would like to book an Advanced Segway Tour, please call us at 780-995-7347.

Upon arrival, you will be required to complete the Segway Clinic.

It begins with a quick safety video followed by hands-on Segway training covering skills such as:

  • Segway Basics
  • Emergency Stop
  • Mounting and Dismounting your Segway
  • Safety Shut Down
  • Speed Limiter
