Dolygaer Cottage is a stunning retreat that has breathtaking views of Pontsticill reservoir. Dolygaer Cottage is easily accessible from the M4 to the south via the A470 which makes Cardiff only a 45 minute drive. Dolygaer Cottage is situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacon with the local town of Abergavenny only 45 minutes away via the A465 and the lovely tourist town of Brecon only 30 minutes away.
The Cottage itself is tucked away in a very remote part of the Pontsticill reservoir. It’s been completely refurbished and benefits from internet and television. There’s a bright and airy master bedroom with double bed and a further two double rooms with wardrobe. The double rooms feature comfortable beds that can easily be split into two singles or one double making them suitable for all groups. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials including a fridge/freezer, hob, oven, and microwave so you can make yourself at home from the moment you arrive. There is a bathroom with double shower & hand basin with a separate toilet & hand basin as well, and the comfortable living room has seating for six.
Dolygaer Cottage is a unique place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. The views are simply stunning from the Cottage overlooking the Pontsticill reservoir.

Our centre lends itself to cyclists and walkers. You can do both right from the door step. We have just been awarded our cyclists welcome and walkers welcome awards this means you are welcome to walk in through our front doors and feel at home. The Cyclists and Walkers Scheme does just that. It lets you know that you will be looked after well, that we have everything you need and that we won’t tell you off for wearing muddy boots.
