Alpacas are some of the most beautiful four-legged animals around, Thanks to their cute, cuddly appearance and soft, gentle nature, this 2 hour experience from Cary Alpacas gives you the opportunity to visit their home, learn about their needs and requirements and to join them on a walk around the beautiful Somerset Countryside - Don't forget to bring you camera for some super souvenir snaps!

Highlights

We welcome visitors to spend a few hours with us and see for themselves that alpacas really do have unique adorable characteristics and I offer an insight into my responsibility for their well being and how much fun it is to own my herd.

The highlight of your visit will be you taking an alpaca for a walk through the beautiful Somerset Countryside.

Important to Know

• UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN: Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Should you choose to walk without an alpaca - cost as above will still apply.
• Wheelchair Access and those with disabilities: Facilities Limited. Wheelchair access to the paddocks can be impractical during wet weather. However, we can provide private meetings with our alpacas. Please contact us to arrange a meeting or for more information. There are no disabled toilet facilities available.
• Dogs: There is a strict NO DOGS policy on the farm and throughout the experience. Dogs may be left in your vehicle weather permitting.
• Weather / Unforeseen Circumstances: We will not be able to walk the alpacas in extreme weather such as heavy rain, strong winds and high temperatures. If your walk has to be cancelled, we will contact you by either your mobile or by email and you will be offered the opportunity to reschedule or a full refund.
• ENVIRONMENT: Our location is clay and sometimes uneven ground so sensible footwear is a must (Wellingtons / Walking boots and trainers if dry weather). A hose will be made available to hose off mud at the end of the experience. Clothing should be appropriate for the weather conditions.
• Bio-Security: We have stringent bio-security so we will ask you to dip the soles of your footwear in disinfectant pads as you enter the alpaca paddocks.
• Social Media: During your 'experience' you may be photographed / videoed for use on our Website and our social media pages, we appreciate that you may not wish to be photographed, in which case please let us know.
• Photography: The taking of photographs during your 'experience' is not only allowed but welcomed. We hope you will send your favourite photographs to us via our website 'Review' page but please remember we may wish to use them on our website and social media pages, so only send photographs you agree to us publishing.
• Personalised 'I've walked with an Alpaca' Certificates: For those special occasions and for someone special, why not have a personalised souvenir of your 'experience'.
