Escape the rain and cold with our special exclusive minibus tour of Bergen. With a maximum of 16 passengers, you will get driven around the city with a live English-speaking local guide, stopping at the most scenic points in town. In between spots, your guide will explain the history and everyday life of the best city in Norway. This tour is designed to show you the best of Bergen in two hours.
The tour begins at the Bergen Fortress. After getting a brief overview of Bergen’s history, the first stop is at our favourite secret viewpoint in Sandviken, a historic fishing neighbourhood north of the city. You’ll see the old trading warehouses and fisherman’s cottages at our first photo stop, but also a clear view of how Bergen is built between mountains and fjords. After leaving Sandviken, we wind up the hills back towards the city and stop for our second viewpoint overlooking the entire city of Bergen. Your guide will explain more of Bergen’s history and culture while also pointing out some of the main attractions in the city centre. Now it’s time to head out and see some suburbs; we drive out of Bergen and learn about everyday life. We then stop at Gamlehaugen, the royal residence of Bergen, and admire the unique home and gorgeous English gardens. Heading back into the city, we visit the University of Bergen and St. Johns Church before stopping in the most charming neighbourhood of Bergen, Nordnes. Here you’ll be able to take photos of 300-year-old wooden houses and the surrounding views. The tour finishes with a stop at the most photogenic spot in the city, where you’ll be able to capture the perfect postcard picture of Bergen.
The tour ends with a short walk of Bryggen, the UNESCO World Heritage site.
