Paying close attention to historical figures and important documents related to America’s past, scouts can better appreciate their shared history.

Explore different religions and social customs of different groups and the value of respect and cooperation among different backgrounds.

May 4 Scouting Heritage: Join us at Battleship Cove for the Scouting Heritage merit badge. Learn about significant figures that helped create Scouting and how the program has evolved over time. Using real artifacts and talking with former scouts, you can explore the impact scouting has had on peoples lives.

Methods scouts can learn to enhance their skills in communication through nonverbal means like morse code or brail. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with semaphore flags and visit Big Mamie’s radio room.
