What is Artemis?

Artemis is a multiplayer co-op spaceship simulator. "Spaceship-themed escape room" or Computer-Aided RPG is an apt description!

Your crew takes the bridge of the Artemis or Intrepid--this time it's Crew vs. Crew against real human opponents in the room next door!

Work together as Captain, Helm, Weapons, Communication, Science, and Engineering to outwit, out-maneuver, and win a Capture the Flag style ship-to-ship scenario.

Artemis Arena Battle Mission Details

This is a crafted mission for 2 human crews in separate bridge rooms, playing against each other on our private LAN.

Two Jump-drive equipped battleships start at opposite sides of a sector near their respective home bases. The sector contains various hazards and a Dragon Egg spawn point in the center.

The goal is to tow a Dragon Egg back to your base, defending it and your ship from attack from the opposing team. Dock the Egg with your home station to gain score. The team gathering the most Dragon Eggs within the 45 minute mission time limit is the victor!.

Crews are not eliminated upon ship destruction. Destroyed ships and stations respawn after a brief timeout. The mission continues until the time expires.

About This Event

NOTE: In this mission, we expect all players to have prior Artemis experience. If you have not played Artemis before, we recommend trying a Standard mission first to get the feel for the simulation controls.

• In this Squad Capture the Flag mission, prior experience with squad-based simulators in general and Artemis specifically is useful.
• This simulation is for 6 players, age 13+.
• Difficulty will be determined by the competency of the 2 human crews involved. GameMaster intervention to "balance" the outcome is not assured.

Content Notice

• Children age 13 and up may participate. This mission type requires significant teamwork; younger children may find this mission particularly challenging.
• Lighting sensitivity note: This experience is in a semi-private room with low ambient lighting, flash strobe effects, dynamic colored lighting, large screen video displays, and other multimedia effects.
• Event content is generally rated TV-14; we ask adult participants to be considerate of younger players who may be participating.
• Crew positions require good reading ability, and ability to manipulate a PC touchscreen via fingertip or stylus, or optionally via mouse.
• Helm and/or Fighter crew positions (if available) require the ability to use a two-hand HOTAS-type controller with throttle and flight stick.
