TOUR DESCRIPTION

For many visitors a day trip to Montserrat is the highlight of their visit. Not only because of its significant religious importance but also because of the natural beauty surrounding the monastery -it is simply breathtaking. For a better enjoyment of the visit we propose an early departure from Barcelona, avoiding the crowds that usually visit this temple. Besides, this is a great opportunity to watch the Boys Choir (Escolania) perform their afternoon session. This is a half day chauffeured private visit to Montserrat from Barcelona.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY:

• Montserrat Monastery

• Royal Basilica (free entrance if late arrival)

• Black Madonna shrine

• Virgin’s chamber (ticket purchase optional)

• Option to walk to the Holy grotto -Boys’ Choir (“Escolania”) subjected to its availability. For the afternoon session, there is no need to purchase a ticket, but you might need to sit for the mass to hold on to your place.
