Sometimes referred to as the Sunken Forest, this self-guided expedition has been a part of the KVAC stable for over 26 years!

About

A magical trip that takes you to the mouth of Yarrunga Creek, flowing from Fitzroy Falls downstream into Lake Yarrunga. On the way you will glide through a forest of once majestic gums that are now exposed as guardians of the peace and tranquillity that is the Sunken Forest.

The trip starts at Bendeela, heads West toward Beehive Point, then into the Yarrunga Creek waterway. The trip back is a return trip to Bendeela This is also an outstanding Bass fishing area given the number of hiding spots frequented by this wonderful native freshwater sport fish.

Participants are provided with well-maintained, high quality kayaks or canoes, paddles and lifejackets.

There are no resupply points along the route, so ensure you’re well-stocked for the full journey.
