Embark on a Lake Explorers Cruise to uncover the mysteries of your local lake! Join a passionate team for a hands-on experience in citizen science, where you'll collect valuable data on water quality and biology. This engaging 1.5-hour journey fosters community involvement and deepens your connection to the environment.
If you want to know more about the state of your lake, these cruises are for you! Join our crew, interns and volunteers each week, for a dive into timely issues on the lake. Together we'll collect observations and data, and encourage you to get involved with citizen science, water quality and biological sampling activities.
Duration: ~ 1.5 hours long
There is no fee for Lake Explorers Cruises, although donations are greatly appreciated. They are presented in collaboration with the Community Science Institute of Ithaca, with support from the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and the Park Foundation. Our goal is to give everyone a chance to learn about the lake. If you are able, please consider a donation to help us continue providing lake education and access for all.
