About This Adventure

#About

Enroll in and create your own unique Masterpiece with lacy ocean waves. You will have fun creating your own epoxy resin-coated Serving tray table or Lazy Susan turntable.

Everyone will make their own impressive conversation piece that can be added to their home decor or possibly wrap it up to give as a homemade gift. After this workshop, you will have more confidence and skills to coat with epoxy resin, and walk away with your own one-of-a-kind gorgeous creation!

What's covered in the course:

In this 1.5 hour workshop, you'll be working with a slow curing epoxy resin.

We'll cover: gloves , aprons, and other PPE included safety and preparation tips:

  • how to measure, mix, color and pour resin
  • how to choose right pigments and blend colors
  • how to create resin art techniques such as marbling through -- the resin as well as how to create lace effects
  • how to work with a heat gun and torch
  • how to prepare your tray/susan : cleaning, taping, leveling
  • how to finish the pieces professionally
  • how to look after your new serving ware.

What you'll make:

You'll make a choice of serving tray table or lazy susan (feel free to bring your own style of tray/lazy susan you want to display in your house). Your serving ware set will take 24 hours to cure and will be ready for collection the next day.

What instruction you'll receive:

You'll learn how to marble the resin and also how to create the lace effect. You'll be using a slow curing epoxy, giving you time to achieve the effects in the resin. Classes are limited in size and are structured so you'll receive individual attention. You will leave the workshop confident that you can produce additional pieces at home.

What to bring/wear:

Wear old clothes that you wouldn't mind getting resin on. Glasses, if needed for close up work. Long hair tied back.

*Everything else is provided including the board.

We only use non-toxic epoxy (when used as directed) that is not bad for your health like other resins. No VOCs. No fumes. No solvents. Non-flammable. Non-hazardous. Conforms to ASTM D4236 (Safe for Home Use when used in a well ventilated area).
