It's recommended that you bring warm clothes and a rain jacket. Water and BYOB is also very much encouraged. There will be a sand mat to sit on, but you are welcome to also bring your own beach chair.

Weather Policy

Stargazing is a weather-dependent activity, and in Kapalua, conditions can change in an instant. Your guide will determine whether the tour will proceed, often making the decision as close to the start time as possible to allow for the chance of clearing skies—which happens frequently. If the trip is canceled, you are welcome to rebook for another night or receive a full refund. If the tour begins and reaches the halfway point before being canceled due to weather, refunds will be issued at the guide’s discretion, with a possibility of a partial refund.

  • For the enjoyment of all guests, children under 6 are not permitted on the group tour. If your party includes a child under 6, please do not book this tour, as your group will not be able to participate. No minimum age for the private tour.
  • Unfortunately, due to the terrain and stairs, this tour may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges. You will be provided with red light torches and you must be able to walk up and down stairs with limited lighting.
  • No cell phone usage during the tour.

  • Please note that views through the telescope will not appear the same as the detailed images seen in photographs. While the telescope provides incredible views of celestial objects, long-exposure photography captures colors and details not visible to the naked eye.
