The trail opens under a hot tropical sky and the river calls first—cool, blue, and daring you forward. You follow a local guide down a narrow track through primary and secondary rainforest, crossing braided streams and ducking through low rock overhangs until the canyon drops away and La Leona reveals itself: a clean curtain of water feeding a series of jade pools.
