Our first stop is Freshwater station to take a 1 1/2 hour journey aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Train, one of the most spectacular rail journeys in Australia travel through the rainforest enjoying breathtaking scenery, waterfalls and tunnels.
On arrival in Kuranda I’ll be there waiting for you at Skyrail terminal/Train platform. We’ll jump in the bus together and I’ll drive you up the hill into the ‘Village in the rainforest” (Limited mobility & disabled-friendly- NO WALKING.) I’ll point out all the colourful arts & crafts markets, cafes, restaurants, animal parks and leave you to enjoy your 2 hours of FREE TIME.
1.45pm - Return travel on the multi-award-winning Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, where you will enjoy a world heritage-listed rainforest experience and take in some of the most spectacular views on earth.
On arrival at the Smithfield terminal, you will be met and transferred back to Yorkeys Knob Boat Club at approx 3.30 - 3.45pm
Plan to be at Yorkeys Knob Boat Club 15 minutes before departure to ensure a smooth boarding process.
Kuranda involves some light walking around the village markets and wildlife parks—opt for supportive footwear.
A light rain jacket or poncho is useful since the rainforest can experience sudden showers, especially in summer.
