We will follow the Royal Route, along the tracks of medieval ceremonial processions. You will try local specialties and I will provide you with historical information about the highlights of the city (Barbican and St. Florian’s Gate, Main Square – St. Mary's Basilica & The Cloth Hall, Town Hall Tower, St. Mary Magdalene Square, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, renaissance Kanonicza Street, Wawel Hill, and Royal Castle). You will also learn some anecdotes about our traditions which you don’t find in guidebooks.
We will visit 4-5 places and taste a minimum of 6 local specialty dishes and 6 drinks, incl. typical Polish appetizers, a choice of dumplings, cheese, meat/fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as one of the most famous Polish desserts.
You will also be offered traditional Polish beverages: Polish beer, a shot of famous Bison vodka, homestyle kompot, a shot of liquor, and coffee/tea or soft drinks.
The tour involves walking along cobblestone streets and exploring multiple venues, so sturdy, comfortable footwear is a must.
