Snow cracks under boots and a canyon exhales cold breath as you step into Korouoma. The ravine walls rise like weathered cliffs, strings of icicles dangling and catching the pale Arctic light. Guided groups thread through forested tracks toward sheer, frozen curtains of water, stopping on ledges to stare up at columns of blue ice that seem to grow out of the rock.

Suitable for most fitness levels; you should be comfortable walking 4–8 miles on snow-packed trails with occasional short climbs.
The full experience runs about 7–8 hours (including transfers from Rovaniemi), with several short walks in the canyon and time for lunch.
Guides provide winter overalls, warm boots and ice grippers, but bringing your own appropriate footwear and layers is recommended.
Children under 5 are not recommended; children under 12 must be accompanied by paying adults. Check age restrictions at booking.
