About This Adventure

Experience the exclusive beauty of Pawai Bay, a hidden snorkeling gem in Kona, accessible only by boat. Enjoy a short ride to vibrant reefs teeming with endemic fish and stunning lava formations. With fewer crowds, you'll dive into an unforgettable underwater adventure, making the most of your time in the water.

Description

Skip the crowds at Kealakekua Bay and snorkel our stunning local sites instead - only accessible by boat. With just a 10 - 15 minute boat ride instead of a 45-minute ride, you'll spend more time in the water getting up close and personal with the gorgeous fish on one or two of our lovely local reefs. Less time on the water means more time in the water! Discover the volcanic formations and dramatic arches made by past lava flows.

  • Duration: 2.5 hours

Our afternoon snorkeling trip takes place in Pawai Bay - ocean permitting - only accessible to guests by boat - that area of coastline is set aside for the use of native Hawaiian children, inaccessible to non-natives. We are fortunate to be able to moor in the bay and share the beautiful shallow reef wildlife and educational briefings with guests about the wildlife we encounter. With an abundance of endemic fish, this area is lush with life.

Inclusions

  • Mask, snorkel, fins, floatation devices
