Adventure tips

Bring reef-safe sunscreenCoral reefs are sensitive—use reef-safe sunscreen and reapply in the shade to protect marine life.

Secure small valuablesCarry a small waterproof dry bag for phones, cameras, and wallets; boats can be wet and bumpy.

Prepare for boat motionIf you get seasick, take preventative medication before boarding and sit mid-boat where motion is reduced.

Respect marine lifeDo not touch or feed fish and avoid standing on coral—observe from a distance to preserve the reef.

Recommended gear

Reef-safe sunscreen: Protects skin and prevents reef-damaging chemicals from entering the water.
Snorkel mask (or bring your own): Provided on most tours but a personal mask ensures fit and clearer vision underwater.
Lightweight dry bag: Keeps electronics and dry clothes safe from spray and splashes on a speedboat.
Water shoes or reef boots: Protect feet when entering shallow reefs or rocky shorelines; useful on some beach exits.
