A low, corrugated roof and the smell of warm wood welcome visitors to Kunia’s rehabilitated general store — the gateway to Kō Hana’s small farm and distillery. Guests step from the roadside into a narrow strip of cultivated land where sugar cane stands like green spears, the fields bending and daring you to trace their rows. The barrel room smells of toasted oak and slow tropical sun; at the tasting bar, rums speak in bright cane and patient age.
