Looking for a quick fishing adventure? Something close to town and not an all-day drive? Alaska Outdoors Addiction’s King Salmon charter on the Knik River is what you’re after! With 3 trips a day, this trip offers top of the line flexibility!! Your captain will take you on a great family-friendly adventure, absolutely perfect for seasoned veterans or for those who have never fished before and are looking for a low-stress, relaxing trip on the water.

The Knik River is located 30 minutes from Anchorage and 20 minutes from Wasilla. This fishery is a 100% hatchery produced fishery specifically stocked by the State of Alaska to provide sport fishing opportunities for King Salmon. The main fishing technique you’ll be using is trolling while on anchor. While doing this, your guide will have two to three rods rigged with cured salmon eggs and one to two with a plug or a spinner. Depending on which lure or bait is catching the most fish, your professional guide will change gear out to give you the highest opportunity to harvest a King Salmon. At this time, you’ll let out your line and place it in the rod holder, waiting for the tell-tale epic takedown of an Alaska King Salmon. We also utilize power trolling, back trolling, drifting salmon eggs under a bobber, back bouncing, jigging, as well as casting and retrieving plugs or spinners. We’ll do whatever it takes to get you on a delicious Alaskan king salmon!

Regulations allow each guest to keep one King Salmon per day. Once you’ve harvested your King Salmon, you are not allowed to fish for the remainder of the trip. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Book your trip now and hit the water with Alaska Outdoors Addiction!
