About This Adventure

Experience the breathtaking beauty of East Clare with guided eBike tours from Killaloe Hotel and Spa. Choose from four unique routes, including visits to historic towns, scenic lakes, and ancient sites. Perfect for all ages, these tours combine adventure, culture, and stunning landscapes for an unforgettable journey.

The following Killaloe Hotel And Spa guided eBike tours are available for guests of all ages (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult), and are limited to a maximum of 6 guests per tour group.

The price is €75 per guest including an eBike which are available in sizes small, medium and large.

As an optional extra, you can keep your eBike after your guided tour for up to three days at a special rental price of €40 per day. Please indicate in the booking whether you would like to avail of this offer.

Also note that Lough Derg eBike Tours customers are entitled to 10% off lunch at the Killaloe Hotel and Spa (enquire for details of applicable times).

The Killaloe Hotel And Spa guided tour options are:

  1. Hills, Crafts and Coffee (3 hours) - Travel through the hills of East Clare to the historic market towns of Tuamgraney and Scarriff. Visit one or more out of East Clare Co-operative, Wilde Irish Chocolates or McKernan Woollen Mill, and/or stop for a coffee before heading back to Killaloe via the Lough Derg shore.

  2. The 3 Counties Shannon Tour (3 hours) - Explore the banks of the Shannon at the Southern end of Lough Derg, pausing for a coffee in Birdhill and visiting Parteen Weir along the way.

  3. Killaloe Lakes and Uplands (4 hours) - Visit beautiful Garrykennedy and Castlelough on the Lough Derg shore of North Tipperary, Ireland. Then head up into the Arra mountain range for great views of the lake. Geared towards the more experienced cyclist.

  4. Inis Cealtra (4 hours) - cycle along the Lough Derg shore to Mountshannon via historic Tuamgraney and Scariff. At Mountshannon you will board a boat to Inis Cealtra (Holy Island) where you will have an hour to explore the ancient monastic site before sailing back and cycling back along the shore. Please note that there is an additional €20 cost for this option, to cover the cost of the boat which is operated by Holy Island Tours. This is included in the price. Note that this tour is seasonal, operating from March to October.
