How To Book:

The program is available every week of the January School Holidays.

Step 1) Click on the calendar to select one of the weeks that you'd like to book for. Then fill in the details and click add to cart. You'll then be taken to the checkout section.

Step 2) If you'd like to book multiple weeks then at the Checkout section click Keep shopping and repeat the above process for all your surfing dates, then simply go to check out to complete and pay.

Wellington Surf Lessons offer an epic kids Surf & Skate Holiday Program every week of the January school holidays at Lyall Bay and Kapiti Coast (Otaki Beach).

This awesome holiday program will include surf lessons and surfskate classes and will be great chance for kids to make friends to surf and skate with over summer.

Give your kids an AWESOME surf experience this summer!

Overview Of Classes:

• Beach Safety
• Surf Stretch Classes
• Surf Classes
• Surf Skates Classes (These are awesome skateboards that emulate surfing!)

Inclusions:

• All equipment provided
• Groups of x16 students per class with x2 instructors
• Qualified Surfing NZ Approved instructors
• Surf and skate photos of the kids
• Gain knowledge and skills which will last a life time

Lyall Bay Program Dates:

One or two day surf program available every week during the January school holidays 9:30am-1:30pm.

Week 1) Tuesday 6th and/or Wednesday 7th January 2026 Week 2) Tuesday 13th and/or Wednesday 14th January 2026 Week 3) Tuesday 20th and/or Wednesday 21st January 2026

Note: Parents you can book your kids in for multiple program days that fit in with your schedule during the school holiday period. We usually recommend x2 days to get the full learning experience.

Please note for kids younger than 10 years of age parents may be required to watch over their kids during the surf lessons.

Backup date incase the weather is bad The backup date will be the day after your program ends E.g. If you booked for Jan 8th, 9th then the backup date will be on Jan 10th. Please aim to keep this day free just incase!
