Dawn on Khumai Danda opens with a spine of cold air and Machhapuchhre’s tooth-like silhouette cutting the horizon. You leave Pokhara’s lakeside bustle behind and climb through terraced farms and Gurung hamlets; the trail narrows, the forest breathes, and the ridgeline begins to nudge you toward wide, alpine meadows.
