Summertime Surf School provides age-specific surf programs for children and young surfers along the Jersey Shore. The school runs Keiki Surf Camp sessions for children ages 4–7 at Point Pleasant, Bradley Beach, and Asbury Park, each delivering a two-hour experience that blends ocean safety with fundamental surfing skills. Keiki camp curricula are crafted by preschool teachers to ensure lessons are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and focused on building confidence in the water.
For older kids, Summertime Surf School offers Kids Surf Club programs for ages 7–16 at Bradley Beach and Point Pleasant. These multi-week clubs run over three weeks and emphasize wave selection, technique, and independence in the water with hands-on assistance from instructors. The Kids Surf Club Mini-Camp at Bradley Beach is a three-week progression designed to elevate skills for developing surfers.
Advanced young surfers can join the Grom Team September Intensive, a three-week program that provides advanced coaching through personalized goal setting, video reviews, and competitive strategy work. Across programs, instructors work alongside participants as they ride waves and practice safe ocean habits. Some sessions note limited spots, so early registration is advised. Summertime Surf School focuses on structured, instructor-led learning and age-appropriate curriculum to help children develop skills and confidence while enjoying the ocean.
