About

This 7 hour trip starts in Andopen Bay, located on Moskenes Island which is the most wild and rugged island of Lofoten. Together we will explore the surrounding area and less known pearls that Lofoten offers.

We will meet at the base for Lofoten Arctic Adventures in Andopen Bay, located on Moskenes Island, which is the most wild and rugged island of Lofoten. Here your full day kayak adventure starts!

After meeting your guide and walking over the plan, you will get outfitted into your kayak gear and the kayak will get adjusted, followed by basic paddle & safety instructions before leaving Andopen bay. Route will be weather dependent.

Together we will explore the surrounding area, kayaking an ocean channel, fjord, between islands, through shallow areas, alongside majestic mountains that rise straight from the ocean. Whilst learning about the Lofoten history and amazing stories. On average we paddle 16-18km. This adventure is more than kayaking, it is full of nature, history, geology and wildlife. If we are lucky we might spot an eagle, a seal, an otter or even whales. One never knows what to expect, which makes each trip unique. A kayak adventure you will not forget.

Roughly halfway into our journey we will enjoy a break on shore, stretch the legs, maybe even go for a little hike, soak in the calmness and beauty whilst enjoying a hot drink before we start heading back to Andopen Bay. Bring lunch and a snack to re-energize during the trip.

A great way to spend a day for the more adventurous people as we will be paddling around 16-18 km. Some previous sea kayaking experience is great but if you are a beginner with an adventurous spirit and consider yourself to have good arm strength, this trip is a great option for you too.
