Paddle Difficulty: Tough
12km. 3.5-4 hours paddling. Departs Deepwater Basin. Take our water taxi out beyond Stirling Falls and take in the up close views of the magnificent waterfalls on your return to base. This is the adventure for you if you want to know what the waterfalls feel like!
Talk to us about arranging transport from Te Anau in to Milford. (Extra $50 per person, we can only take you in to Milford, you will have to arrange transport back out with another company due to later return time.)

The Stirling Sunriser will suit you if:
You are happy to kayak for up to 4 hours in potentially turbulent waters. You have high levels of water confidence & physical fitness. You love chasing watersfalls and aren't afraid to get wet! For safety reasons this trip is for 16 years and over only, if bookings are made for children younger than 16, your trip may be cancelled on site by the guide and no refunds given.
Note: Spaces are limited on each trip. If you book a trip that turns out isn’t right for you, you are taking the space from someone who could have enjoyed it! We cannot refund you if your guide deems you unsuitable to paddle, so please choose with care. If this looks a bit tough, might the Sunriser Classic suit you better?
16 years and older only - Children MUST be over 25kg to safely fit our safety equipment. Please note: warm clothing and wet weather jacket must be supplied by caregivers for children size 10 or smaller (no jeans or cotton). Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the kayak.
