A low swell pushes against the kayak as you glide out from a sandy lip into the glassy arms of Lagoa da Conceição. The water takes the lead—inviting, then testing—while the shoreline alternates between wind-scoured restinga, dense Atlantic Forest, and the black roots of mangroves that seem to grip the lagoon like hands.
easy.

Suitable for people with basic fitness; able to sit and paddle for up to two hours and follow instructor safety briefings.
No—guides provide basic training in semi-oceanic kayaks with rudders and adapt the route to group skill levels.
Paddle craft (kayak, canoe or SUP option), PFDs, paddles/oars, safety kit, guide, and transport to/from Rio Vermelho State Park are included.
Very—routes are adjusted for wind and tides; mornings are typically chosen for calmer conditions and safer crossings.
Suitable for most adults and children who can sit in a kayak; not recommended for pregnant travelers, those with serious heart conditions, or severe spinal issues.
The lagoon and its margins have long been a resource for coastal communities; wooden-boat fishing traditions persist alongside modern conservation efforts.
