About

There is a popular tour that's perfect for everyone! We work around your abilities and what you are comfortable with.

We launch from Pier Street in Shell Beach and paddle along some of the most scenic stretches of the Central Coast. Our adventure is within a marine environment that is home to abundant wildlife including sea birds, sea lions and harbor seals, otters, rays, and yes sometimes dolphins and Whales!

Springtime finds sea lion pups and cormorant chicks basking on the rocks; summer brings schools of timid leopard sharks and rays close to shore; and year round, harbor seals eye us curiously from the rocks and landings. Our ultimate destination in Shell Beach is the magnificent Pismo Beach and Shell Beach sea caves that the ocean has carved from ancient cliffs and we will explore them as tide and swell permit. We use stable sit-on-top kayaks that are very user friendly and no previous experience is required.

Our Pismo Beach, Shell Beach Kayak Tours are typically 2-­3 hours and includes all necessary kayak equipment, Shorty Wetsuit, Booties, Life Vest and Helmet along with Full Adventure. All guests must be able to swim and be prepared for moderate to strenuous physical activity. Our Tours only cost $85.00 per person or a private Tour can be made for an additional fee.

Please note, you WILL get wet! This is part of the fun if you're prepared!

What to Bring

• Shoes that can get wet (water shoes) booties available at our store
• Bathing suit and/or quick-dry shorts
• Water
• Sun screen (available for purchase at our shop)
• If you wear glasses, it is VERY IMPORTANT to have a retainer strap! You can purchase these at our store.
• Cotton clothing is discouraged (it is heavy and cold when wet) and jeans are never permitted.
• Towel (available for purchase at our shop) or bring your own.
