Adventure Tips

Wear layered clothing

Weather can change quickly in Alaska; wearing layers keeps you comfortable throughout your paddle.

Bring sunscreen and sunglasses

Even on cloudy days, UV rays reflect off the water, so protect your skin and eyes during your trip.

Check water levels before booking

High water levels can enhance your experience but may also alter the shoreline access.

Arrive early for the best light

Paddling in the morning or late afternoon offers softer light and fewer crowds.
