Located in Ballarat North, Victoria, Ballarat Indoor Go Karts and Laserforce offers an exhilarating family-friendly racing experience that’s rare for the region. Set inside a dedicated indoor facility at 502 Howitt Street, this destination provides a controlled environment where both kids and adults can engage in the fast-paced fun of go-karting without the unpredictability of outdoor weather.
The standout feature here is the range of karts tailored perfectly for families. Young speedsters standing over 130 cm jump into their own Rimo Evo6 Junior Karts, which pack enough punch for a genuine thrill while prioritizing safety. Smaller children from age three can ride along in Double Karts, designed so they share the track excitement side-by-side with an adult driver. Adults are encouraged to take the wheel alongside the kids, making it a rare multi-generational racing event.
This setup transforms the go-kart track from a simple racecourse into a playground of memories for families visiting from Melbourne and beyond. The venue’s focus on safety is evident through mandatory helmets and balaclavas, with thorough safety briefings and helmet fittings conducted before each session. Timed racing sessions add a competitive edge, letting drivers measure their performance with club speed lap results and view “ontrack” videos, capturing the adrenaline-fueled moments.
