The tower sits above the low sal and riverine forest, a wooden lookout where dawn arrives first and the Rapti River chisels the horizon. You climb a ladder, unroll a sleeping mat and the jungle closes in: bulbous leaves drip, bulbuls call, and somewhere below a rhino grunts as it moves through tall grass.

Moderate fitness: able to walk 1–4 hours on uneven forest trails and tolerate basic elevated sleeping conditions.
No—tigers are elusive; guides maximize your chances with timed walks and safaris but sightings are not guaranteed.
