You step out of an air-conditioned shuttle into humid air and the low rumble of cicadas. The jungle here pushes up from limestone ground — trees lean and vines tangle, and you can feel the cenote’s cool pocket underground as the group saddles horses and prepares ATVs. The tour strings together four contrasts: slow, sure horseback tracks; the mechanical thrum of an ATV; the wind-on-face lift of a zipline; and the quiet, otherworldly blue of a Mayan cenote.
